Thursday, March 5, 2015 - Day Two

And our journey continues as we head to one of our "must see" destinations - Kinsale!  This is our first World War destination.  A few miles off of this coast, the Germans sank the cruise ship Luistania which eventually brought the US into World War I. We found a cute B&B, Tierneys Guesthouse and then walked over to The Pantry for the BEST fish and chips EVER!!!  Poor Rob, needed his retirement nap, so we walked him back to our B&B.  Teri, Alan, and I began our exploration of Kinsale.  We found awesome little shops and purchased a few treasures, among them was a gorgeous watercolor of the town. A true example of "small town Ireland" is worth noting.  Teri saw a coat in a shop window that she liked.  Unfortunately, the shop was closed.  While browsing in another shop across the street, we asked that shop owner if she knew when the other shop might open.  The owner replied that it was supposed to open at 10 AM the next day, but she had the keys to the shop if Teri would like to try on the coat.  Long story condensed, Teri ended up purchasing the coat. Later that evening, we enjoyed dinner at the Blue Haven and listened to a pair of Irish guitarist. Loving this country, we drifted off to sleep.
