Our day began with a beautiful rainbow while leaving the Ring of Kerry! We're off to drive the Dingle Peninsula which is the western most end of Europe. This drive is part of Ireland's "Wild Atlantic Way" that we've been following! I'm not sure if the "wild" part is due to the winding, narrow roads, and the totally amazing scenery. Either way, we're thrilled to be a part of this journey. When we arrived in the little town of Dingle, we enjoyed coffee and a bit of shopping at The Strand Hotel. We had a magnificent lunch at Harringtons, where the owner told us that the fish we were eating had been swimming in the Atlantic Ocean earlier that morning. We strolled the cute little town, purchasing lace and a few other treasures. Then headed onto the little town of Tralee, where we decided to spend the night. We stopped at the Tourist Information Office for a hotel suggestion and the sweet gal working there called to make sure we could get into The Grand Hotel for a great price. After we settled in, Rob took his mandatory Retirement Nap while Teri, Alan, and I explored the town. Afterwards, we enjoyed drinks at the hotel's pub, where a sweet "older" guy, Terry Healy, bought me a drink. We dined in the hotel's restaurant, since it was a "hot spot" in the town and enjoyed an awesome meal. And another day ends!
