Part II - Continuation of Italy Plus Adventures with Gail, T, and Alan - April 1, 2026 - May 15, 2026

May 12, 2026 - continuation of Edelweiss Resort to Garmisch, Partenkirchen, and Munich

As we were walking around Garmisch, T noticed that Alan's left eye was very red, so he went into one of the wonderful Apothecary here in Europe, where the pharmacist is very well trained, and she recommended that Alan see an eye doctor.  Luckily, there was an office around the corner, and they were willing to work Alan in at 2:30.  So, we decided to go explore Partenkirchen, have lunch, and check with the Tourist Office about the ticket we had on the car when we returned from breakfast.  The town was charming, lunch  at Kroners was delicious, and the $15.00 ticket was for parking the wrong way on a street.

We returned to Garmisch in time for Alan's appointment.  Gail and I walked around the town, found a grocery store and purchased some coffee beans for the guys. Alan had his prescription, and we were on our way in about an hour.

We continued on our drive to Munich, and after a quick check in at the Hotel Germania, we were out exploring Munich, a bustling, metropolitan! We were disappointed that the Glockenspiel was only performing a few times per day!

We decided to go to the famous Hofbrauhaus, which was crazy busy and noisy. We shared a table with a cute couple, Andrew and Shirley, from England while enjoying a HUMONGOUS pretzel and beer.

The statues were quite unique, as we strolled around looking for a place for dinner.

After dinner, we took a taxi back to our hotel.  Gail is leaving VERY early tomorrow, for her flight home, so we needed to get her in bed!

May 13, 2026 - Munich to Luxenbourgh

Farewell, Gail!  We've had so many great experiences filled with laughter and friendship. Sadly, American Airlines delayed her flight, but rebooked her on British Airways, so we'll be curious to see how that Airline performs!

I slept most of the six-hour drive to Luxenbourgh, We have a lovely apartment here on the third floor with a balcony, and every room has a great view!

Tomorrow, most of the stores will be closed for Ascension Holiday, so our extra new luggage had to be purchased this afternoon.
